Food testing log and protocol

This log separates physically cooked test batches from calculated guidance. A submission is evidence to review, not automatic proof that one setting works for every appliance or portion.

  • Use the calculator as guidance.
  • Check food early.

Published evidence

Reviewed human test batches.

No reviewed human test batches have been published yet.

This is deliberately empty instead of being filled with invented tests. Use the form below to submit a complete cooking batch for private review.

What every batch must record

A useful batch needs enough detail for another person to understand what was cooked, in which appliance, and how the result was checked.

  • Exact food or product, weight, portion count and fresh, chilled or frozen starting state.
  • Air fryer brand, model, rated wattage, drawer style, preheat choice and basket load.
  • Temperature, final time, every turn or shake, centre temperature where relevant and result notes.

Review and publication rules

Submitted batches stay private until checked for completeness and plausibility. Publication must preserve uncertainty and must not expose private contact details.

  • Incomplete or unsafe-looking batches are not used to change calculator guidance.
  • A single batch can support a starting range but cannot establish a universal exact time.
  • Conflicting valid batches are retained and used to widen or segment guidance, not hidden.

Current evidence status

No food is labelled human-tested unless a reviewed batch appears in the published log below. Until then, calculator and chart values remain calculated guidance.
