The v1 calculator is designed to work without accounts. Calculator inputs are processed in the browser and do not need to identify a user.

  • Use the calculator as guidance.
  • Check food early.
  • Contact us with corrections or useful food examples.

Data used by the calculator

Inputs such as food category, temperature, time, wattage and electricity rate are used to calculate the visible result.

  • No account is required in v1.
  • No user-specific cooking history is needed for the calculator to work.
  • If analytics are introduced, this policy will be updated before collection begins.

Forms and analytics changes

The contact and food-test forms send the details a user enters so corrections and submitted evidence can be reviewed. These submissions are not published automatically.

  • The contact form collects email address, optional name, page URL, food, model, original instruction and the user's message.
  • The food-test form also collects test date, food weight and state, appliance wattage, cooking settings, centre temperature when supplied and result notes.
  • Contributor names and email addresses are not included in a public test log without explicit permission.
  • Any future analytics will be configured to avoid unnecessary personal data.

Policy changes

This policy will be updated before analytics, advertising, affiliate links or materially different submission handling is introduced.
