The calculator uses 1700W as a planning value for running-cost estimates. Your exact appliance label is the better number when you have it.

Time adjustment

The calculator uses the standard timing range because a brand name by itself is not evidence for a percentage adjustment. Brand alone does not justify a timing change; drawer style, food load and the exact model matter. This should be treated as an early check cue, not a finished-food guarantee.

What changes the result

Drawer size, how full the basket is, food thickness, frozen state and distance from the heating element can all matter more than the logo on the front of the appliance.

How to use this profile

Select Instant in the calculator, enter the original oven or packet instruction, then use the check-from time as the important moment. If your model repeatedly finishes early, record it as a hot-running appliance and check one or two minutes sooner next time.

  • Use the lower end for thin or fast-browning food.
  • Use the upper end for thicker food, crowded drawers or oven-style models.
  • For chicken, fish and leftovers, check the centre before serving.

Examples to watch

Instant users should watch the food types that often mislead people: breaded frozen food can brown early, chips can look done before the centre is fluffy, and chicken portions can vary widely by thickness.

  • Frozen breaded items: shake or turn at the check-from time.
  • Chips and roast potatoes: avoid stacking so hot air can reach the surface.
  • Meat and reheated food: use a thermometer where possible.
